Where teachers teach teachers about content

I just added the video, "We Didn't Start the Fire" to the site. It looks like this video was developed by a college student. Here's my question, would you be satisfied if one of your students turned in this video as the culminating project for a unit on U.S. history in the second half of the Twentieth Century? Why/why not?

I'll start: I don't think that this video demonstrates any kind of deeper understanding. It's nice and it's cute but it doesn't demonstrate significant learning. What might have been particularly cool is if this student had found a way to incorporate critical questions and reflections into this project. Perhaps he/she could have even dubbed some comments over the lyrics of the song to make some points.

What do you think?
